The Culinary School of Fort Worth Chef Instructors Mark Hitri and Ethan Starr helped to kick off the Granbury Wine Walk weekend by running a booth at last night’s VIP “Sip & Savor” event.

The sold out event, which featured Texas winemakers, chefs, musicians, and artists as well as a silent auction, paired local foods with local wines.

Chefs Hitri and Starr were stationed at one of the eight food booths at “Sip & Savor,” and their food was paired with a Tempranillo rosé from Silver Spur Winery.

The Culinary School of Fort Worth’s booth served mole seasoned chicken tacos served on blue corn tortillas with poblano, walnut crema, pomegranate seeds, and micro cilantro. The food was prepared by the school’s chefs and students before the event.

This was the first time that CSFTW has participated at the Granbury Wine Walk.

The Granbury Wine Walk was created with the mission to contribute to a wide variety of charitable organizations and cultural endeavors within Hood County. In 2019, the last time the event was held, the Wine Walk contributed over $53,000 to local charities and scholarships.

For those interested in attending this weekend, tickets are still available here.
