Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sous Chef / Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Salute Wine Bar. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude. This position offers up to 20 hours per week, with shifts on Saturdays, Sundays during the day, and Tuesday evenings.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Head Chef in preparing and plating dishes according to our high standards.
Prepare and assemble charcuterie boards.
Food prep and set up for private events.
Assist with light dishwashing duties.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Follow all food safety and sanitation regulations.
Qualifications:
Experience in a food service environment is preferred, but not required.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
A passion for food and a desire to learn.
